2018 Reflection & 2019 Vision

As 2018 is coming to an end I like to reflect on how the year went. What was positive, how did I grow and what were the challenges? 

 

2018 was filled with some amazing highs and some challenging times. I remember chatting with a friend while I was going through a particular challenging time this year and she said when that happens to her she asks “Who am I becoming through this?” I thought that was brilliant! It is in the most challenging times that we truly find out how strong we are and what we are capable of. 

 

2018 was a year of growth both personally and professionally. It was also a year of renewal as I entered my 40th year of life! I challenge you as this year is coming to an end to ask yourself the following 10 questions:

 

  1. What went well in 2018?

  2. What dreams did I work on in 2018? 

  3. What was accomplished?

  4. What was challenging in 2018?

  5. Who did I become through my challenges?

  6. How did I grow as a person? 

  7. What do I want my life to be like personally and professionally in 2019? 

  8. What actions do I need to take to reach my goals and dreams in 2019?

  9. How will I take action and face obstacles and challenges to make it happen?

  10. How is my mindset as I end 2018 and enter 2019?

 

Leaving dreams up to chance or wishing for them to come true will not make them a reality. Taking time to reflect on the past, learn from what worked and what did not and setting a plan for your future and taking action will set you on a path to your dreams and vision for your life.
